With networking on the concourse, on arrival where canapé’s were also served, guests had the opportunity to take part in fun activities before making their way to the South Stand where the awards took place. The Networking Reception was proudly sponsored by GM Business Growth Hub. The evening of incredible entertainment then concluded with an after awards party on the concourse.
During the night, a fantastic £3545 was also raised thanks to the generous donations from guests. A charity was handpicked from the envelopes collected on the night and Wigan & Leigh Hospice was the chosen charity to be the deserving recipient of the money raised.
Jamie Grimshaw, Co-Founder of Professionals of Wigan said: “We’re absolutely delighted to launch the awards and even more thrilled with the reception and support from local businesses making our first awards evening a sell-out event and success from start to finish!
“Our judges were overwhelmed with the quality and quantity of entries and it was an honour to crown their chosen winners and see so many of Wigan’s best brains and businesses in one room for a night of recognition for the exceptional work happening right on our doorstep.
“We’d like to take the opportunity to thank our incredible sponsors, without whom the awards could simply not go ahead. Special mention to our headline sponsor, Westwood Motor Group, who jumped at the chance to support local businesses by backing the awards which helped us to deliver a fabulous event.”
